Botta Events’ meeting and event spaces are located in the Ostrobotnia building, constructed in 1912, and our premises are not fully accessible in all areas. Below is more detailed information about the accessibility of our spaces.
Entrance
At the main entrance of Botta Events (Museokatu 10), there are four steps of varying heights with a total height of approximately 50 cm. Two separate telescopic ramps can be placed on the stairs. The ramps allow for direct access from the pavement. The maximum length of the ramps is 288 cm, and the width of a single ramp is 17 cm.
On the first floor, there is an additional step 18 cm high. A handrail runs along the step.
A curved staircase with a handrail on its inner edge leads from the first-floor entrance lobby to the meeting and event spaces on the second floor. The second floor can also be accessed via a platform lift (width 70 cm, depth 90 cm), either by wheelchair or by sitting on the chair provided in the lift. The lift has a maximum weight capacity of 250 kg. The chair can support a maximum weight of 130 kg.
Alternative access to the second and third floors
The meeting and event spaces on the second and third floors can also be accessed by an elevator via the Töölönkatu 3 A entrance.
The stairwell is accessed via a fixed concrete ramp with a gradient of approximately 8% and a width of 100 cm. Just inside the entrance, there are six steps, but a platform lift (78 cm wide and 97 cm deep) provides access to the elevator landing. The platform lift has a maximum capacity of 300 kg. This lift has no separate chair.
A standard elevator takes you from the elevator landing to the second and third floors. The elevator door is 80 cm wide, and the elevator itself is 88 cm deep.

The doors from the Töölönkatu stairwell to our meeting and event spaces are usually kept locked and are only opened if arranged in advance. Please note that there is no doorbell on the second floor.
Restrooms
An accessible, gender-neutral restroom is located in the first-floor entrance lobby (Museokatu 10). The restrooms on the second and third floors are not accessible.
